If anything is going to warm your heart today, it will be this: a young boy in County Armagh, Northern Ireland, had his stolen bike returned to him after his mother put out a Facebook appeal.
Nine-year-old James Brewster’s silver bike was the last gift he ever received from his late father before he died.
It was stolen on the 26 November, just three days before the one year anniversary of his father’s death, leaving James “distraught” according to Una, his mother.
Una’s emotional social media post asking for the bike to be returned attracting thousands of likes and shares – leading to the reappearance of the bike outside the house.
Una said: “the fact that it was the last present he got from his Dad was what spurred me on.”
“I made sure I was going to do anything and everything I could to get it back,” she added.
